Who is everybody's picks to rep the purple singlets at the state tournament this year, and how do we stack up against the other sections? It seems to me we have a couple likely champs and many placewinners.

Question...is Raines, Kropman and Deprez coming down? I don't see why they would. If Raines does can he beat Wersinger? It will be interesting to see whre they all end up. I would guess they all stay at their before Xmas weights.

Dakota Mascho wrestles at Portville which is a section VI school. Imo, he is better suited to 152 as 145 is a very crowded field of contenders headlined by Putney and Gardner. He is talented but only a freshman facing a field of mostly upper classmen whether he wrestles at 145 or 152, I don't think 2019 is the year for his first state appearance.

Greg D. is going to 113??
He is nationally ranked at 120. Usually Intermat checks on certs for those rankings.

Hmm...wonder how much he ate at Christmas...lol He would likely win states again at either weight so I guess when you are good enough, you wrestle were you want. Must be nice...good luck whatever weight you decide to go Greg!!! Howbout Hilton's lightweights....nobody in the state can match up with them under 126 lbs! The Canadian kid was a serious addition to an already nasty lineup. I think they will rep section V just fine this year, as will Spencyland.

Massapequa is tough at the lower weights. 99 and 106 in particular.
