Does anyone know the team seedings ?
If they go by state rankings then Spencerport will not meet Wayne until finals !

I beleive they go by the New York State Sportswriter Association Poll. Currently Spencerport is in 1st place, Valley Central is in second and Wayne is in third. I don't know if it will end up as the final rankings for the tournament, their might be updated poll standings by Saturday.

New NYS rankings as of 12/31 (LARGE SCHOOLS)
 = belive to be at UE this SATURDAY That means # 1,2,6,8,10,14,17 all at this tourney. Among other ranked small schools - Gonna be great. Also Johnson city

MInisink Valley and Islip will be there also
That would put the top seeds as follows:
1. Spencerport
2. Valley Central
3. Minisink Valley
4. Wayne
5. Islip
6. Fulton
7. Governeur
8. Chenengo Forks.
* Unless small ranked schools get seeded higher - these are just a guess
That means WAYNE vs Spencerport in the Semifinals.
Any Predictions ????

UE will be great..theres so many good teams there. Wayne vs. Spencerport will be a good matchup but as you can tell i will be biased towards spencerport. Wayne is good this year but spencerport is great. An even better matchup is valley central and Spencerport...I hear valley central has a powerhouse of lightweights and spencerports upper weights are huge. It will be really intreting to see how everything plays out, and I have no doubt every team will wrestle there hardest. Good luck to everyone wrestling. Sectional rivalrys are fun, and there will always be some, but section five is such a good section I think that not only wrestlers, but parents and fans should be more supportive to the section looking beyond school teams. Section five really has the potential to finally show section eleven that were still a force to be reckoned with...good luck to everyone at UE
