Wrestling Starts For Sampsonians
Sampson College was one of four Associated Colleges of Upper New York (ACUNY) that were created after World War II. The GI Bill offered veterans education entitlements, creating a sudden influx of students for which existing colleges were not prepared. Sampson College was a two-year school designed to get veterans started on their education, then they could continue on at other colleges. The college opened in 1946 and closed in June 1949.
